Belfast Olympia Lifesaving Club, founded in October 2003 by Ruth, Edward and David Butler and Tony Rafferty, is continually going from strength to strength in the five years it has been established.
Belfast Olympia has quickly become one of the most recognised lifesaving clubs in all of Ireland and the British Isles. The club has enjoyed much success at local and regional events such as the All-Ireland & National Lifesaving Championships, and most notably, the National Speed Championships in Sheffield, England.
The Club crest contains the caption "Olympiae", translating from Latin as quite simply, "Olympians". This reflects our Club's desire for the Olympic spirit of Friendship, Fairplay, Honour, Glory and Peace throughout our Sport and in the community we serve.
This website was created as a resource for Club members and anyone with an interest in Lifesaving Sport. Use the links on the left hand side of the homepage to navigate your way through the website. Our site administrators work to keep the website as up to date as possible.
